This room is classically Georgian in its proportions. A large bay window affords incomparable views out across the policy gardens to the Solway Firth and Heston Island, while the high ceilings and ornate cornicing combined with the huge decorative marble fireplace create an effortless grandeur. There is a super king bed.
The bathroom is just down the corridor from Poppy’s room, and has a huge roll top free standing bath which is ideal for relaxing with a good book. There is also a large wash hand basin. The WC is just next door, between the bedroom and bathroom.
During your stay, you are welcome to use the library which is a fabulous room with oak panelled walls and well stocked book shelves. Large sofas surround a huge sandstone fireplace which is a wonderful focal point for the room. Alternatively, there is seating by the windows, where on a summers day you can look out down the lawns to the sea. See more.
During your stay you will also be welcome to use the dining room, an awe inspiring, hand painted room which glows with the light reflected from the chandelier onto the gilt mirrors. Two smaller tables in the two bay window recesses seat eight each, while the large mahogany dining table comfortably seats 20. See more.
